Hybrid Fire Detection System

Eurotech completed a radio integrity test alongside Judge to ensure the system was designed to ensure comprehensive protection across the expanse of the site. A network of three Toccare panels was installed with a mixture of 130 Sygno-fi by Eurotech heat detectors and multi-sensor detectors, depending on the area it was covering. Twenty-four FireBeam Blue optical beam detectors were also connected to the system to protect areas where high-pressure paintwork occurred.

As well as providing the necessary building, machinery and occupant protection, the system also allowed a phased evacuation strategy to be put in place. Should a fire occur, this ensures the people most at risk are evacuated first, offering greater protection to the employees at C&F Tooling.

FireBeam Blue

Using the same technology as the firebeamXtra, firebeamBLUE inherits the same reliability and benefits and has an unbeatable range of up to 160 metres. The only difference is that it’s fully controlled and commissioned with a user-friendly app.

Fire Beam technology is more cost-effective than spot and air sampling systems. For example, just one beam can be used instead of 16 spot detectors so cost savings across a system installation can be considerable. Wiring to a single head also saves time and money over fitting metres of air sampling tubing. Set-up is quick, and perfect every time as the Fire Beam continually monitors any movement, re-aligning itself automatically, eliminating the need to revisit site for re-alignment issues.

Eurotech supplied a comprehensive Toccare and Sygno-fi by Eurotech fire detection and alarm system, with FireBeam Blue technology to protect the 6 acres of warehousing and manufacturing space at C&F Tooling.

With expansive site surveys, we worked in partnership with Judge Fire & Security to ensure the system was designed, installed and commissioned to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and met insurance requirements, as well as protecting the building, machinery and employees.
