Odyssey Intelligent Devices

Odyssey Switch Monitor with Isolator

The Switch Monitor Plus is designed to monitor the state of one or more single pole, volt-free contacts connected on a single pair of cables and to report the status to Odyssey compatible analogue control equipment.

  • Output for resetting a remote detector
  • Four input states – ‘normal’, ‘fault’, ‘pre-alarm’, and ‘alarm’
  • Two visible LEDs
  • Selectable alarm delay for monitoring flow switches

Odyssey 3-CH Input/Output Unit c/w Isolator

The Three Channel Input/Output Module offers the benefit of using a single address for three individually-monitored inputs and three outputs, as well as cost savings compared to using a combination of single or twin Input/Output Modules, making it the perfect solution for the following applications:

  • Lift bank control
  • Fire door control
  • Shop unit monitoring
  • Smoke damper control

Key Features:

  • Supervises one or more normally open switches on each of the three inputs
  • Loop-powered
  • Capable of switching up to 30V at 1A on each of the three outputs
Odyssey Input/Output Unit

Odyssey Input/Output Unit with Isolator

The Odyssey Input/Output Unit provides a voltage-free, double pole changeover (DPCO) relay output, a single monitored switch input and an un-monitored, non-polarised opto-coupled input.

  • It can report fault, switch open and switch closed levels
  • Three visible LED’s
  • Loop-Powered
  • Capable of switching up to 30V at 1A

Odyssey Zone Monitor Unit with Isolator

The Zone Monitor powers and controls the operation of a zone of up to 20 conventional fire detectors from a Odyssey loop.

Odyssey Sounder Control Unit with Isolator

The Odyssey Sounder Control Unit is used to control the operation of a zone of conventional sounders and report their status to the control panel.

  • Allows sounders to be operated continuously or be pulsed; 1 second on, 1 second off
  • May be synchronised with loop sounders

Odyssey Intelligent Input Output Unit

The Intelligent Input/Output Unit provides supervision of one or more normally open contacts connected to a single pair of cables and a set of changeover relay output contacts. Compatible with XP95, Discovery and CoreProtocol digital communication protocols.

Mechanical Construction:

The Intelligent Input/Output Unit is available in the new faceplate style enclosure. This can be mounted with the supplied back-box for surface mounting or flush mounted using a UK double gang, flush mounting back-box of minimum depth 30mm.

The Intelligent Input/Output Unit provides supervision of one or more normally open contacts connected to a single pair of cables and a set of changeover relay output contacts.

Key Features:

  • Improved design for ease of wiring meaning faster installation
  • Contains controllable isolator
  • Address range 1 – 254
  • Nine pre-configured modes, including compatibility mode from XP95/Discovery to CoreProtocol systems
  • Failsafe mode (meets BS 7273-4 requirements)
  • Configurable input styles
  • Earth fault monitoring

Odyssey Standalone Isolator

The Isolator is placed at intervals on the loop and ensures that, in the case of a short circuit, only the section between the isolators will be affected. When the short circuit is removed, the isolators automatically restore power and data to the isolated section.

Key Features:

  • Detects wiring short-circuits
  • Minimises disruption from short-circuits
  • Automatic de-isolation on the short-circuit removal
  • Up to 20 detectors or their equivalent load, may be installed between isolators

BS5839 Isolating Key Switch

The Fire Safety Isolating Key Switch provides a secure method for safety isolating the mains voltage supply to fire systems in accordance with BS 5839 Part 1 2002.

Both the live and Neural supply is switched and a fuse is also provided.

The supply can only be isolated by an authorised person, by means of a keylock switch.  The key is removable in both ON/OFF positions.

The fuse cannot be removed without taking the cover off.

A neon indicator is provided to indicate mains present at the switched output.
